Covington House is a circa-1848 traditional log cabin, once the home of the Covingtons, a husband-and-wife teaching pair who migrated to the area in hopes of improving the education level of children living around the Hudson Bay. In its time, the Covington House was a social gathering place, a boarding school, a farm and the home to the first piano in the Pacific Northwest. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the house is located north of the downtown area, near Leverich Park.
