Look Elsewhere for good Dental Care

The Bright Now Dental office on SE 164th in Vancouver is very expensive for the quality of dental care and administrative services. For cleaning and X-rays, they charged $224. If you're lucky, you'll see an actual dentist for about 30 seconds. They always charge my insurance for a propholaxis cleaning (same basic cleaning I've always received) and the insurance never covers the entire cost. I did get reimbursed for one such charge, but it took the better part of a year. They have a high turnover in staff. The money you pay is going to the corporate executives - it's not going for quality dental care. The company is rapidly expanding. Bright Now Dental is the Walmart of dental care. Beware.

Inept at billing, insurance processing, and customer service

Posted by FrankDiggins on 3/24/2008

The company is totally inept at insurance billing. I am awaiting an undisputed refund for a double billing going back one year. To compound the double billing issue I was also billed at a non Preferred Provider rate. Most recently the delay excuse is, "the check is lost in the mail." As the retired Postmaster of Portland, OR I find that to be incredible. Of the $600 originally owed to me, a balance of $92 remains. I did receive two checks for partial refund. Though the amount still owed is insignificant, the principle of the thing and my time to deal with this incompetence is not. My advice to this locally owned and operated franchise owner, "take a business class on customer service." I am changing dentists!
